I would guess simplicity and less risk of vacuum...

Sounds like both are shot... but it may be worth just replacing the MC first and see if it does anything before moving on to the more expensive/harder to replace brake booster.

Ok makes sense. The blower hasn't worked since i got the car. It worked for about a week and than broke. I haven't fixed that yet. That's for a different tread and a future me.
