Yes, the large slip yoke damper eliminates the decel rattles. It is a tight fit in a 240 tunnel, not sure how similar the 7/9 tunnels are....

separate the metal bracket from the rubber mount...

separate the metal bracket from the rubber mount (they slide apart) and then trim the corners off of the rubber part so it is circular. It will then fit in the 240 mount under the car.

I have a T5 in my 240 with the 0.68 5th gear. It is a good highway gear with the 3.91 rear. Worked fine with a n/a 8v setup. I don’t mind shifting down a gear for longer hills on the hwy.
