You had a typo in your image code:

Looks like a call to Apex for ARC8 in 17x9 is in order.

By doing some calculations I arrived to the conlcusion that 940's will allow up to 112 ish mm front backspacing and 106 ish mm on the back.
Is my math right or should I go back to schol?

Looking into ordering some custom steelies that will not require me to use any spacers.

edit: max front spacing without any poke would be 78 ish mm front and 84 ish mm rear?

who knows, we calculate offset.

-12 on an x8 will sit flush with no poke.

Wouldn't the rear need spacers to be flush? Total noob here

I have a set of staggered ims going on my 88 740 wagon.
17x8.5 front ET 38
17x9.5 rear et 43
Can anyone advise what the best sized spacers/tyres would be? I dont mind stretch and or low profile.
will be cutting/rolling fenders all round.

No dice, need to order 5 sets for 5x108, and 17x9 offsets are already low.

I'll see if I can find some when I get home. But yes rolled fenders in the front and rear. I took a jack handle to clearance the rears. Tire to fender clearance was super tight I couldn't carry 80 pounds in the car without it rubbing.

New to me MSW's, 16x6.5 with 48ET (and 25mm Gil Racing hubcentric spacers):

[IMG][/IMG]

Had enough of the 17x7.5 PROPUS I've run since the reconstruction was completed in 2012. Tire & rim net savings around 5# each of unsprung mass.

I thought you bought some 16" Satellites? I was looking forward to seeing what they looked like on a 9. Those MSWs look nice though.

I did, I DID buy some 16" Satellites! Decided to use them on my 242 instead of the set of 15" MSW's that I've been keeping. For my Volvo vehicles I've decided that 16" is just right , although WAY too small for most TBers.

What lugnuts are everyone going with? I'm looking at finally mounting my Volans on my 744, with the H&R 25mm adaptors. I'm eyeballing the "Gorilla Automotive 21133HT Small Diameter Acorn Chrome 5 Lug Kit (12mm x 1.50 Thread Size) Pack Of 20" on Amazon right now, but I don't know if that's a good idea or not. No big deal maybe?

Another possibility is the RAYBESTOS 10079N on Rockauto, but the pictures are pretty inadequate.
