Just some basics.
The differences of 940 vs. 960 basically depend on the model year.

-1994 the 960 wagons were pretty much identical to a 940 chassis and body wise, while the sedans received the independent rear suspension (IRS).
1995+ the 960's did receive a facelift / interior upgrade + IRS, some different body parts and were badged as S or V90 for their final two (I think) years, 1997 and 1998.

Based on your description I guess you have a B204FT/GT engine, which were more common in certain European countries like Portugal or Italy with heavy taxes for engines with bigger displacement.
Unfortunately, that engine is unique in many ways or uses a lot of parts that the "standard" B230 do not share with them.

Since you likely have that engine, I guess your car is a -1994 model.

The easiest way to tell without knowing all too much is just look at the front.
If your car looks like the one in my signature, you have a -1994 and it's pretty much identical on the outside (minus the rear suspension if a sedan), if you have smaller headlights and grille, it's a late 95+ model.

It's from 93 so i think it's a mk1

Nice, another T16V.
Your front suspension is pretty much like any 740/940.
The brakes however can be different. (calipers, rotor size, those on the later 940's are a bit bigger and use 1 piston, the earlier 740/780 use smaller rotors + 2 piston calipers.
The rear suspension is different if your car is a sedan. It's not a solid axel but a independant rear suspension.(IRS)
No idea where you can still get aftermarket parts for that setup.

What do you mean with " front suspension is pretty much like any 740/940." does coilovers/strut bars for 940 fit a 960? becuse what i'm trying to get is a stiffer suspension and i don't want to go balls deep in a pro/racing/expenssive af coilover becuse that the only ones i find tbh kkkk

Yes.
As mentioned, the -1994 960 wagons are identical to 940's, also in terms of the suspension.

The -1994 sedans however have independent rear suspension, which makes them very different.

It was only 1995 and onwards that the 940 and 960 (and their later equivalent S90 and V90) became much more different.

You can have a look at the complete part catalog of the -1994 940/960 cars and see that a lot of parts are the same: https://weblisher.textalk.se/gcp/20160201-025/paper.pdf
