Default 16 valve timing info b230 bottom

Can anybody point me in the direction of a good 16 valve timing setup install or info, particularly using the yoshifab kit ? I seem to be getting conflicting info, thanks in advance, Dan.

Can you elaborate on your question?
The Yoshifab kit is pretty much plug and play AFAIK.

I am using a Penta style setup with my 16v. 146t belt and INA 068109243F tensioner.

yes i mean the timing marks without covers, the cams appear to line up with marks on the valvecovers ( but some says cams at 11 o'clock) so i was looking for verification on that, and then i just need the crank gear timing mark and aux gear timing marks in relationship to the cams, i looked up regualar 8 valve timing stuff but everything i ran into just said to line the aux gear up with the timing mark on the timing belt cover which i do not have. Also for tdc i just did number one on compression stroke, piston at highest point. if i remember correctly the keyway of the crank pulley was at 12 oclock and the dimple on the yoshi timing belt crank pulley was 180 out from the timing mark on the front cover.

I timed mine with the cams / valve cover marks aligned and the crank / aux pulley marks aligned with the marks on the engine. Make sure you are using the mark at the timing belt pulley on the crank not the v-belt pulley (my setup is a B21 block, but the theory should be the same with a B230).

Also there are 14 belt ribs between the cam marks for reference.

Thanks for the info old school ! I must have missed a timing mark on the engine for the aux shaft or something, and just to reiterate I would be using the keyway on the crank gear to line up to the timing mark on the seal holder behind it? There is a dimple on the yoshi crank gear i got but that is 180 out from the timing mark on the seal holder at tdc. I will have to double check and make sure im on compression stroke but im almost positive that i am.

The aux shaft drives the distributor, so if it isn't aligned quite right, you can loosen the distributor to re-align it correctly (I assume you have a block-mounted distributor).

Yes, the crank keyway is where the alignment mark is.
