Default No timing mark on crankshaft pully

I have an 81, B21A

I can not find any timing marks on my crankshaft pulley. Has any one come across this before?

Any ideas?

Take spark plug out of C1 and find TDC and mark it as 0deg?

There’s a washer-like piece behind the crank gear that has a small groove in it which is the timing mark. Are you sure that is not present?
