Default Turning a B230 Block into a Coffee Table

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right section ...

I've always wanted to turn an engine into a table of some sort, and a couple weeks back I found this block on Facebook marketplace. The seller said it was out of a 940 and was asking $1 for it. I tried to offer him $10 (since it felt like I was basically stealing this from him) but he insisted on just $1.

I drove up to Cincinnati and stuffed it in my 240's trunk to haul off to my shop back in Lexington.

I'm still trying to figure out image hosting, oof.

In the trunk.
On the hand-truck because I'm too weak to carry it.
What I'm working with.
After some quick cleaning, pay no attention to the mess.

The plan is to clean this up, repaint it a matching red (possibly repaint mating surfaces an aluminum color just because), put some legs on it and either a rectangular or circular tempered glass top.
Will update as I go!

I've actually got a crankshaft that will become an end table one of these days as well. Just need to source some other parts first....

I had plans to do this a long time ago, but it became a flow pot holder in my Mom's garden instead!
