Hello!

How much does the orginal flywheel on a 940 classic handle? I will have a 19t turbo , bigger injectors etc...

I thought about maybe buy the 712 pressure plate and orginal clutchplate..

I would like to have about 250 hp :)

regards david

The dual mass flywheel will not handle much HP as it is very heavy and can fail due to the coupling. Go for the "dog dish" M46 flywheel with diesel clutch. Even standard diesel clutch can handle 250hp. I used the longer M47 pivot due to the overall less length of clutch and flywheel.

If you're going in to change the clutch I'd strongly consider changing the flywheel too. As stated the "dog-dish" flywheel will work. It's lighter (though by no means feather weight) and avoids any dual-mass problems.

Just be sure to install it in the correct position, otherwise it won't start and you'll need to pull everything out again to fix it.
