Great build and am enjoying watching this.
But about those seat covers; the description says ...

Look under the spare tire, up along the inside of the rear panel and locate the antenna cable. I think you will find a socket / connection there to plug the new cable into. It's been a while but I think that's how mine was.
I used something like this on my 91 245. I was able to just screw the rubber antenna onto the mount, the thread was the same. Didn't have to thread the new cable. YMMV

I was already planning on a V15 N/A for my 91. But thank you, seriously, for the best summary, comparison and perspective I have read yet. I have really just got to pull the trigger. Very soon now.
Not to derail, but I do like your 850 spoiler painted white like that. I've been debating whether to do the same with mine. It's grey and black right now.
OP: With all the cautions as above, and the car gotten to Stage 0, it can be done.
I daily a 91 245, and my wife has commandeered the 90 245. Last Fall we drove 2,659 miles to Texas and back in the 91.
Good luck with it.
The car looks really great. And lots of good work done.
Now p l e a s e just take care of those bumpers! They really let down what is otherwise a truly lovely looking car.
Just choose your poison; SEM bumper paint, Back to Black, or massage them back with a heat gun.
Something!! Anything...
