k-jet to lh

what does it take to do the crank sensor? i already have a 93 block, just put te sensor back in and use a flywheel of a 2.4 car? kjet head, 93 block m47.

for you, with that stuff? just bolt it all together....you will need a different clutch and pressure plate for the LH2.4 flywheel

to rossi240: pull the vacuum line off of the fuel pressur regulator and check for gas in it. ive had a fpr go bad and dump fuel into the manifold. ran fat at idle but i was able to drive a couple of days b4 i figured it out.

im takin pics this wknd of what I got for my setup, maybe forg you could point me in the right direction. I dont know if my box is lh 2.2 or lh 2.0 but I got all the stuff from an 85 240 wagon i got the whole engine wiring harness all the sensors except for the temp sensor and both boxes icu and ecu. Ill post the pics this wknd and well see if we can get this thing to run right. Ive got one car with alot of paint work going on and would love to be able to drive the volvo, man I miss driving this car. oh another question anyone know what size frost plugs are in the block, I got a bad one.

You don't have to swap the flywheel. You can get the proper ring and sensor bracket to put the sensor on the front of the engine. Then you don't need the heavy POS flywheel and clutch and you don't have to pull the trans or engine to get it in there.

Sorry for my intrusion...

I need to install temperature sensor for LH2.2 but I'm not able to remove square plug for make adapter for install it.

How I can remove it?

Or, where I can install it?

Very Thanks!

Bruno.

Have you tried soaking that square plug in some WD40 or CRC56 or RP7 or Penetrene or whatever pentrating lubricant is popular in Italy? Maybe try scrubbing the dirt & grease off it a bit, then try spraying it with something like that.

What's the other sensor, is that the knock sensor? Are you using that other sensor, could you replace it with the water-temp sensor?

Hi!

Yes I tryed WD40, but square plug is very soft and deformable, so, if I use some force I bend it :(

If I make adapter and place it in the hole of K-Jet Thermal sensor for 5th injector?

Other sensor is for temp gauge.

I like the idea of making the adapter to use the K-Jet temp-sensor hole (my head has two of these which I am not using; one for the temp-sensor gauge, the other for a thermal air-valve). I didn't even think to do this, it would have been a lot easier than drilling a new hole!

This is original plug taked from LH2.2 car:

I try to mod this adapter this weekend.
If there is enough material: ok... otherwise need custom adapter!

Bruno.

I used the old sensor as an "adapter". Drilled it out and tapped it for the new sensor. It's a little thin and dodgy, but lots of gasket goop between and no leaks or problems for 3 years now.

back to the crank speed sensor, is the signal use for the tach not suitable?

no, totally different type of signal...coil fires once per revolution...crank speed sensor triggers 58 times per revolution...and the crank speed sensor detects crank position, it knows where TDC is
